This piece was created following a high-energy hip hop class taught by Mae Bet where  the vibes were unmatched. The strokes are sharp, layered, and chaotic—capturing the essence of dancers on the verge of release, tension in motion, and bodies moving with unapologetic purpose.

It doesn’t just resemble a battle; it embodies one.

Fiery reds and oranges slash across the canvas like heat and resistance, while deep blues offer a cooling contrast—balancing the chaos with clarity. The painting mirrors grooves slicing through the air, footwork hitting with precision, and emotion poured into every count.

Mae Bet brought the same energy from the studio floor to the canvas, channeling every move into deliberate marks—turning rhythm into line, and choreography into a colored cipher.
