Ascension was born from the call to move differently—to let the music itself lead, rather than the lyrics. Guided solely by the piano’s voice, this choreographic painting became a story without words, a dance captured in color and form.
Mae Bet allowed herself to be carried by the staccato and vibrato of the piece, translating those powerful and elevated emotions into movement and paint. What emerged was a visual interpretation of music’s purest essence—rhythm, energy, and flow—expressed without boundaries.
This is Ascension: a reminder that sometimes the music alone can move us to new heights.
